The use of radiometric meters assumes that the organization has a radiation protection officer. Personnel from S-Tec can be hired for this function by re-procurement of radiometric measuring equipment, or temporary needs in case of personnel changes, for example.
The hired radiation protection officer reviews the company's procedures and working instructions related to radiation protection, and conducts training of the local radiation protection officer.
S-Tec carries out mapping/control of radiation in industrial establishments that use measuring equipment with encapsulated gamma sources. A report is prepared with recommendations for shielding/marking. The work may include contamination testing of older source containers.
